Ganesh Chaturthi is the Hindu Festival celebration on the birthday(rebirth) of the lord Ganesh.
It is believed that Lord Ganesh bestows his presence on the earth for all his devotees during this festival . It is the day when Ganesh Was born. Ganesh is widely worshiped as the god of wisdom,prosperity and good fortune and traditionally invoked at the beginning of any new venture or at the start of travel.The festival,also know as Ganesh Chaturthi is observed in the Hindu calendar month of Bhaadrapa,starting on the shukla chaturthi .

In Hindu culture ganapati or Lord Ganesh is always worshiped before starting any Pooja or Homam. Lord Ganapati eradicates all difficulties faced by an individual.

According to the legend performing Ganapati Pooja at least once in a year will give prosperity, health, wealth and peace of mind to the individual who is performing it. Ganapati Pooja should be performed on all possible auspicious occasions be it starting a new project or even your birthday.
